The JPIC General Office of the Order of Friars Minor inaugurated the Centenary of the Canticle of the Creatures and the 10th anniversary of Laudato si’. Fr. Massimo Fusarelli, OFM Minister General, reflected on universal fraternity, care for creation, and Franciscan spirituality at an event attended by over 500 people.
We conclude Season of Creation 2024 with the Oikos Mediterranean project of the Conference of Provincial Ministers of Italy and Albania, based in the friars’ convent in Taranto, Italy. The OIKOS project was officially born in June 2023.
On the morning of the 4 th June 2024, the main streets of the Salvadoran capital, San Salvador, the same ones where the saint and martyr Oscar Arnulfo Romero walked, were painted brown, yellow, green and white.
After the gathering of the Franciscan Conferences of Asia and Oceania in Manila, Philippines, Br. Taucen Girsang and Br. Daniel Rodriguez Blanco from the General Office for JPIC Office spent 14-18 April 2024 in Seoul visiting the Province of the Holy Martyrs of Korea.
From November 20 to 23, the first conference of friars (brothers) responsible for Missions and Evangelization, Formation and Studies, and Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation of the Conference of Ministers Province of Italy and Albania (COMPI) was held at Sacrofano (Rome). More than 80 friars participated, to which were joined the Provincial Ministers responsible for the various sectors.
