Jean Eric Mutabazi OFM, the new member of the JPIC Animation Committee
In the Tempo Forte of November 2024, Minister General, Br. Massimo Fusarelli OFM and
his definitory appointed Br. Jean Eric Mutabazi OFM as the new member of Animation
Committee of the General Office for Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
Br. Eric is originally from Burundi, but he is ministering in Kigali, Rwanda. He was the JPIC
animator of the Province of St. Francis in Africa, Madagascar and Mauritius. However, a
few months ago, the new autonomous Custody of Our Lady of Kibeho of Burundi-Rwanda
was canonically established, and as a member of this new Custody, Br. Eric continues his
role as the JPIC Animator for this entity.
The Animation Committee is composed of the Director and Deputy Director of the General Office, as well as other members. Its main objective is to collaborate in the realization of projects concerning justice, peace and the integrity of creation that arise from the General Chapter and that are crystallized by the International JPIC Council.
With the current appointment, the Animation Committee consists of Mary Wangari Sebastian LSSJ, Tomás Insua, Jean Eric Mutabazi OFM, Taucen Girsang OFM, and Daniel Rodríguez Blanco OFM.
