{"id":3197,"date":"2019-02-23T15:35:05","date_gmt":"2019-02-23T15:35:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ofmjpic.org\/?p=3197"},"modified":"2019-02-25T08:47:29","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T08:47:29","slug":"care-of-the-environment-ecumenical-and-interreligious-dialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/en\/care-of-the-environment-ecumenical-and-interreligious-dialogue\/","title":{"rendered":"Care of the environment, ecumenical and interreligious dialogue."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\necological crisis that we live in today, deeply marked by climate change, makes\nus aware and seek concrete ways from our lifestyle to deal with this situation.\nIn the Plenary Council of the Order (PCO), held last year, it was evident that\nthis problem has global scope. At the same time, it valued the proposal and\nlines of action of the Encyclical, <em>Laudato\nsi\u2019<\/em> for the care of the Common Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\nbelieve that the care for the environment must be transversal and must involve\nall people, along with politics, religion and economy. As we celebrate the 800th\nanniversary of the encounter of St. Francis with Sultan Malik al-Kamil (1219),\nthe JPIC Course 2019 takes into account the ecumenical and interreligious\ndialogue, because we are convinced that the solution has to come from everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The course began On Monday, February 18 and went on until the 27th at the Pontifical University <em>Antonianum<\/em> in Rome. We have integrated into the \u2018Course of High Formation in Integral Ecology.\u2019 Brothers from different countries have participated from many countries including Japan, Taiwan, Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Morocco, Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, Holy Land, Slovakia, United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the\nfirst part of the course, we listened to the various interventions of the\nspeakers on the figure of St. Francis in the ecumenical and interreligious\nmovement, the beauty of Creation as an invitation of the Encyclical <em>Laudato si\u2019<\/em>, St. Francis of Assisi in\nrelationship with the Creation and the creatures, the fundamental sources for\nIslamic ecology, Creation as a free act of God according to John Duns Scotus,\nand the Spirit of Assisi between history and prophecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\nwill be practical indications for action next week so that JPIC animators could\nhave tools that help them to take the reflection and the concerns to concrete\nacts through a plan and a project for their
