The <em>Laudato si\u2019<\/em> volunteers along with the Franciscan brothers have been given their duties to bring Pope Francis\u2019 message to the world <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2882\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-1080x720.jpg 1080w, https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/callejiandols_02-610x407.jpg 610w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting the day with laudes, the\nvolunteers were guided to meditate on our service and frame our minds to focus\non our mission at World Youth Day. Then, the volunteers were briefed on our\nduties, equipped with our materials and prepared our spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Laudato si\u2019<\/em> will be celebrated in three zones: Parque Omar, Colegio\nInternacional Maria Inmaculada and various Youth Festival stages. &nbsp;Through\nthese exhibitions, pilgrims will be encouraged to commit to living <em>Laudato si\u2019<\/em> and start conversations on\necological conversion to recognise God in creation in their own countries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, the volunteers based in Parque Omar\nled pilgrims to pray the rosary using recycled tyres and prepared the space for\npilgrims to enjoy an art exhibition. Pilgrims were happy to charge their\ncellphones using solar energy through our charging booths. Likewise, the\nvolunteers of Colegio Internacional Maria Inmaculada prepared the <em>Laudato si\u2019<\/em> village where pilgrims could\nmeditate and learn more about the encyclical. \n\nThe volunteers and\nfriars finished the day just as how we started it \u2013 praising the Lord. Together\nwith other World Youth Day volunteers and pilgrims, the day was closed by\ncelebrating mass with the Archbishop of Panama, Monsignor Jose Domingo Ulloa at\nCinta Costera.
