<\/span><\/p>\n Fr. Daniel Rodr\u00edguez Blanco, OFM, Director of the JPIC General Office, and Fr. Taucen Girsang, OFM, Vice Director, represented the Office at this initiative held at the Catholic University of East Africa. Daniel, and Fr. Taucen also met with the new rector of the Catholic University of East Africa, Fr. Elias Omondi Opongo, SJ.<\/span><\/p>\n The meeting allowed dialogue on collaboration between the Franciscan Network and the University on initiatives related to caring for the common house. Among them are the creation of a \u201c<\/span>Laudato Si\u2019<\/span><\/i>\u201d garden and tree planting. <\/span><\/p>\n They also visited the Centre for Justice and Ethics, a collaborating institution with which they talked about the implementation of a project called Centro \u201c<\/span>Laudato Si<\/span><\/i>\u2019\u201d, aimed at helping people.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n One of the meeting’s central moments was a march in which more than 300 young people participated alongside representatives of the different organisations present.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][ba_image_carousel content_alignment=”center” slide_count=”1″ nav_height=”48px” nav_width=”48px” nav_color=”#ffffff” nav_bg=”#3979ff” icon_left=”\uf104||fa||900″ icon_right=”\uf105||fa||900″ _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][ba_image_carousel_child photo=”https:\/\/ofmjpic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Jovenes-y-religiosos-participantes-en-el-Foro-Interreligioso-de-la-Juventud-celebrado-en-Nairobi-Kenia.jpeg” _builder_version=”4.27.9″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”][\/ba_image_carousel_child][\/ba_image_carousel][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.9″ _module_preset=”default” hover_enabled=”0″ global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content” sticky_enabled=”0″]<\/p>\n The mobilisation began at the Nairobi Animal Orphanage and, after about two hours of travel, reached the Catholic University of East Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n Through banners and different materials, young people expressed their commitment to climate justice, peace, and renewable energy. Daniel, and Fr. Taucen presented the work and functions of the JPIC General Office in Rome and invited students to deepen their knowledge and commitment to Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation.<\/span><\/p>\n The meeting recalled that JPIC is not limited to certain activities or projects.
