In July 2020, motivated by the campaign for the Laudato Si\u2019 Revolution a movement begun \u2013 courtesy of a conversation via WhatsApp – involving the brothers and sisters of the JPIC commissions of the Franciscan Family in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa and Haiti.\u00a0 According to Fray Samuel, JPIC promoter of the Province of the Holy Gospel in Mexico, \u201cit was great being able to work as Spanish -speaking countries \u2026. it was a big challenge to meet; \u00a0obviously virtually, for reasons of the pandemic, a big challenge but a good work. <\/em><\/p>\n
The group began to be quickly set up,\u00a0 within a short time there were around 50 people involved and they\u00a0 organized and created a plan to bring forward the Laudato Si\u2019 Revolution, divided\u00a0 into three stages.\u00a0 All the organisation of the plan was done by virtual meetings.\u00a0 In September, together with the beginning of the Season of Creation the first stage called \u201cAwareness Building\u201d was launched.\u00a0 This proposed three initiatives:\u00a0 \u201cFestival of Photography\u201d, \u201cFestival of Drawing\u201d and \u201cFestival of Good Practice\u201d.\u00a0 They were widely supported: 240 drawings, 154 photos and 15 videos of good eco-friendly practice.\u00a0 You can\u00a0download the ebook<\/a><\/strong> and the 2021 calendar<\/a><\/strong> which were produced from this material.<\/p>\n

The second stage was prepared by around 20 people and was carried out in November and December.\u00a0 6 thematic forums were offered online, which treated of the COVID-19 pandemic, eco-theology from a Franciscan viewpoint, migration and the ancestral peoples as guardians of creation.\u00a0 \u201cIt was an experience which united our horizons and made them more shared and hope-filled\u201d,\u00a0 <\/em>commented A.
